The Fourth of July

As always, I didn't think ahead, so these pictures are in reverse order.

After the kids were in bed, Jason and I climbed atop our house to watch the fireworks that are about a quarter of a mile away. Our neighbor took this photo of us, then came on over to watch on our roof.

We put Jake to bed at his regular time, but let Sydney enjoy some fireworks. I love the 'my hair was in braids today' look.

Early that morning Sydney was in our neighborhood parade.

All of the kids made hats for the parade. These are two of her girly friends.
