Kindergarten Firsts

Today was Sydney's first day of kindergarten.  She has been bouncing off the walls for the last 24 hours in excitement.  She is more than ready to go, be social, and have the structure of a classroom.  She is helpful and smart and we are excited for her to have adventures at school.

Sydney and Payne waiting for the bus, this was the only time they'd hold still.

You can call me Squintz.  It was bright, no wonder Sydney kept making odd faces during the pictures.

The 'not so thrilled' brother.  He wanted to be going to 'gool' also.

Jason came to see her off, he's just a good dad like that.

Silly faces!

The moment of truth.  No, she didn't look back, or wave, or even say goodbye.  I can't blame her, the girl is in heaven.  Part of me is glad she didn't turn around to see me shed a few tears.  Jason claims he didn't cry, but only that he almost got misty.  I saw it, he did get misty.

The girl with the pink backpack, however, isn't so sure about this whole thing and made a break back to her parents.
