Ski Day

 

Jake has been taking ski lessons this winter and had so much fun.  He has been asking to go skiing constantly since his lessons are over now. 

 

On the day of Jake's last lesson Jason took Sydney up so the three of them could ski together for the afternoon.  Ski bums.

Jake's 5th Birthday

 

Ashley made Jake this really cool cape that is Superman on one side and Batman on the other.  He LOVES it.

 

 

 Jake wanted pumpkin pie for his birthday and it was delicious.

 

Jake invited some friends over for a birthday party and we all went to Home Depot to do a construction project. 

 



 

Ruby, Payne, Sydney, Hunter, and Beckham were the friends who came with us.

 

After their hard work we had brunch.  He looks like Bob the Builder with that yellow hat on.  Jake is a happy guy who loves swords, guns, and dirt.  He likes to ride his bike and scooter and play soccer.  He is at such a fun age, if you catch him by yourself he will talk your ear off.

High Flying

 

The McQueens were in town (yay!) and invited us to come to this acrobat place in Provo.  Sydney and I went since the other two littles were sick.  Sydney was amazing!  She had so much fun and surprised me with her skills.  It was fabulous to be able to talk with Emily for a couple of hours and catch up. 

 

The also tried out the slack line.

 

Syd and Aaron got along great and had a lot of fun together.  Emily mentioned maybe they will get married one day.  I approve.

 

Emily and I should have gotten a photo together but our memories will have to serve us on that one.

At the cabin for the New Year

 

Everyone gets to relax at the cabin.  That means I don't even bother putting a clip in Kate's hair for her to have to tear out.

 

Pam made Sydney and her doll matching nightgowns.  They turned out so cute.  It's a good thing that Syd has such a talented Grandma.

 

Our Monopoly Game.  I promise Jason and Jake were also here.  We spent some good hours outside sledding and playing in the snow.  It was so nice to have an escape at the cabin.

Christmas Morning

 

Christmas morning.  The kids opened their gifts from their babysitter Cory.  They were a huge hit.

Cute Kate cared more about the wrapping paper than the gifts, of course.

 

Sneaky Jason spoiled me once again.  He got me a fancy flat iron that I wanted but hadn't told him anything about and he got me a snowboard.  Mine is 14 years old so he figured it was time.  I can't wait to try it out.

Everyone loved seeing Santa this year - Kate especially enjoyed his beard.  Sydney asked for a microscope or a map to the North Pole and Jake asked for Legos.  Kate was just happy to be there.
